Server hosting
We run your websites and applications redundantly on our own dedicated and virtual servers, with clear responsibility: round-the-clock monitoring and alerting, hardened systems, tested backups and updates in fixed windows. Operations follow the processes of our ISO/IEC 27001-certified management system. We align the data centre location, redundancy and recovery times with your requirements. Individually configurable servers provide the basis for running complex, international web projects.
Cloud hosting
Cloud solutions offer many configuration options, from IaaS and PaaS to SaaS. We work with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, both of which offer European data centre locations, and with STACKIT, the Schwarz Group's cloud, when data must remain exclusively in Europe. We also run websites and edge applications on Cloudflare. You benefit from infrastructure tailored to your needs that can be flexibly adapted, scalability at peak demand and usage-based billing.
How we run systems
Operations you can read about.
Our servers are in Nuremberg. Every setting is code in the repository, every change is traceable and every incident has a documented procedure. These are the operations our ISO/IEC 27001-certified management system requires.
Infrastructure as codeServers, firewalls, volumes and configuration are created with Terraform and Ansible. Every change is versioned, checked and reproducible.
Container platformApplications run as containers on Docker Swarm, with Traefik as a reverse proxy and automatically renewed certificates. Deployments come from the pipeline.
Monitoring and alertingPrometheus, Grafana and Loki collect metrics and logs from every server. Two alert levels distinguish what needs immediate attention from what can wait until business hours, including detection of load anomalies in containers.
Backups and recoveryDaily encrypted backups to S3-compatible storage, staggered across days, weeks and months. Recovery is documented as a procedure and executable as a playbook.
Updates in the maintenance windowSecurity updates run automatically. Kernel updates and restarts take place in a fixed monthly window outside business hours, with a backup check beforehand and a log afterwards.
ProtectionFirewalls on each server and in the network, monitoring access only from known addresses, Cloudflare as a protective layer in front of applications and a security runbook in case something does happen.
