3. Provision of the website

When you access a website, technically necessary data is processed so that the requested content can be transmitted to your device. This includes, in particular, your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested address and information about the browser and operating system transmitted by the browser. Technical log data may be used to detect and resolve errors and to defend against attacks.

Processing for the secure and functional provision of this online service is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating and protecting the website. Technical service providers that process data on our behalf in this context are engaged in accordance with data protection requirements.

4. Contact form, email and telephone

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by telephone, we process your contact details and the contents of your enquiry. In the form, these are your name, email address, company where applicable, topic and message, as well as the page from which the enquiry originates. We use this information to process and respond to your enquiry. If the enquiry serves to enter into or perform a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR is the legal basis. For other enquiries, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We store this information for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected. Please only send sensitive information via a suitable transmission channel agreed with us in advance.

5. Applications and careers portal

If you send us an application using the form on our careers page or by email, we use your name, email address, message and, where applicable, the link you provide to a profile, portfolio or CV to process the application and decide whether to establish an employment relationship. Processing is based on Section 26(1) BDSG. Other statutory legal bases may apply where necessary.

Applications submitted via the form are sent to our People & Culture team by email through Brevo. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile; further information about both services can be found in sections 10 and 11.

Our careers page links to our recruiting portal at Personio. You only access the external portal when you follow this link. There you will find the privacy notices applicable to the application process and information about recipients and retention periods. Inclusion in a talent pool takes place only on the basis of separate consent.

6. Cookies, analytics and external content

This website does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and images are provided via the website. Cloudflare Turnstile is integrated to protect the contact form; Brevo is used to transmit enquiries. Further information can be found in the following sections.

A link to another website only accesses the linked service when you click it. The respective provider's privacy notices apply to subsequent processing by that provider.

7. Retention periods and recipients

Personal data is retained only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose. It is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful reasons prevent this. If data is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, retention may be extended accordingly.

Only the people responsible for the relevant purpose and necessary service providers receive data. Data is disclosed to other recipients only where there is a legal basis, such as a statutory obligation or your consent.

8. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to access the data stored about you, as well as to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Where data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest, you may object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object at any time to the processing of your data for direct marketing.

To exercise your rights, please contact info@cuisine.digital or datenschutz@cuisine.digital.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular at your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

For Lower Saxony, you can contact the competent authority at: The State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony Prinzenstraße 5 30159 Hannover Website: www.lfd.niedersachsen.de

10. Transmission of form enquiries with Brevo

We use Brevo, a service provided by Sendinblue SAS in France, for the technical transmission of form enquiries to our team. The information submitted in the form is processed as the content of an email.

Sending the email serves to handle your enquiry. The legal basis depends on its purpose, as described in the sections on contact enquiries and applications. Submitting a form enquiry does not subscribe you to advertising emails or a newsletter.

11. Form protection with Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, to protect the form against automated abusive requests. When the check loads, technical signals are transmitted to Cloudflare, in particular the IP address, browser information and details of the service accessed.

Our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR lies in protecting our contact service against abuse. Cloudflare processes the signals to provide the protection service and, according to its own statements, also to improve bot detection. Processing may involve a transfer to the USA. Cloudflare provides information on processing, transfer mechanisms and your rights in its privacy notices.

Alternatively, you can contact us by email or telephone.
