Connecting dates, seats and franchise operations
An experience and franchise business does not sell conventional stock items, but dates and seats at different locations. This also involves vouchers that are given as gifts, transferred or billed separately, as well as different operators at each location.
Instead of distributing booking, online checkout, voucher management and billing across separate systems, the platform brings all processes together on a shared data foundation: dates, seats, vouchers, payments, customers and locations access the same objects.
Booking, capacity and ticketing
Each tasting event has fixed capacities per location and time slot. The booking logic prevents overbooking and keeps reservations, booking changes and cancellations synchronised. Ticketing is integrated as a core platform function: each booked seat is clearly allocated on the evening of the event and can be assigned to the respective guest.
Commerce, vouchers and Stripe payments
The commerce module connects the shopping basket, online checkout and voucher system with the pricing and tax rate requirements of each tenant. Vouchers can be purchased, checked, flexibly credited or redeemed against events without being redeemed multiple times.
Payment processing is connected via the Stripe API. Payments, reversals and receipts come together centrally. Automated messages support communication about bookings and payments.
Franchise management and customer portal
The platform strictly distinguishes between franchise roles: the franchisor backend provides a central overview of all locations, product ranges and overarching requirements. The franchisee backend gives each location operator access exclusively to their own events, bookings and metrics.
In the customer portal, guests can view bookings, vouchers and receipts.
Architecture, security and operations
Deployment is containerised and automated; the infrastructure is described as code. Test automation includes unit and integration tests as well as end-to-end checks along real booking and payment paths.
Since 2026, we have been responsible for hosting, monitoring, backups and incident management in-house.
